One-piece wonder: the Aquazzura pump

Here’s a serious wardrobe challenge for you: find the piece that matches every outfit. The gifted ones among us who are experts at the sport are often blessed with a neat closet and usually travel feather-light. Serious challenge indeed.
Kathrin upped her game with her latest order on Farfetch, the „Theo“ pumps by Aquazzura. Apart from the fact that they look total class and you can walk and stand on them comfortably and gracefully (they definitely qualified by me after a full press day in Munich, from 10 am to 23 pm, and without sore feet at the end of the day!), they look fantastic with pretty much anything, be it bare legs or stockings, pencil or slick straight skirts, short or long ones, and even 7/8 trousers and jeans. Eureka!

Aquazzura “Theo” pumps in the mix

1. Statement. Kathrin sports the “Theo” pump with a pair of high-waisted 7/8 leather pants by Balmain. No, this little treasure was not part of the limited H&M collection. It’s not the most flattering pair either and surely not the easiest to combine – with pockets on the thighs, whoever avoids high-waisted pants would normally hate these ones. Add the 7/8 length with the rather wide leg opening and you got yourself an awkward look. But the Aquazzura pump proves Kathrin’s investment in Balmain leather not completely in vain. Especially if you balance the high waist with top volume, for example with this chunky sweater by Iris von Arnim from her safari collection.

2. Classic. A totally different look with high-waisted pants again, though this time tight and woolen by Dolce & Gabbana. Kathrin also wears black nylon socks by ITEM m6 (great for long days as they improve blood circulation), a fine cashmere pullover in camel colour by The Row and on top a Burberry coat made out of 100% camel hair, a precious gift from her grandmother from 20 years ago.

3. Elegant. This one is quite a tongue twister: Altuzarra is not Aquazzura and Aquazzura is not Altuzarra. But combine them together and you have a match made in heaven, especially for an evening occasion. Pantyhose by Wolford (the perfect matte black with a fine, soft texture).

4. Casual. The “Theo” pump can even be the perfect touch of chic to a casual jeans & pullover outfit. Here Kathrin pairs them with pedal pusher jeans by Closed and a cotton sweater by Jonathan Simkhai.
